origami folding instructions

Material for folding is just a square piece of paper. The most comfortable size to fold with is the standard 15cm x 15cm. Of course, other sizes are just fine as well. Make your own folding papers from gift wrapping papers. It is important to remember that the papers are not very thick as it is hard to fold such papers. Other materials that you might need for certain designs are scissors, glue, stapler or string.

Start with a square paper. Fold it in half.The creased edge is below. Fold the corners up to meet at the centre.
Turn the paper over.Fold the edges to the centre. This opens the flaps from behind outwards.
Turn the paper over.Fold the top flaps down.
Tuck the small side flaps inside to hold down the previously folded ends.Finally, crease the side corners to shape the heart.
